Christ's Light

Servanthood vs. Servitude

I’m back! haha. And I’m here to say something brief and short, yet quite relevant to everyone in this age. The people in today’s society, particularly Christians need to hear this; especially those who claim to be Christians. Beloved I’m literally tired of hearing about Christians who claim to know Jesus yet the lifestyle doesnt add up. This lifestyle of claiming “oh ya, I know God, I’m a Christian, I go to church…. (occasionally).” Yet, they are out there in the world plaguing the world with what I like to call demonic christianity. They are under the issue of Christian servitude. Beloved servitude is not what God had intended for us. God intended for intimate fellowship and community, and corporately seeking the Fullness of God with massively infinite unicity. You see it is easy to have relationships with believers and nonbelivers, which I totally believe is a must, yet forget what our common goal is. I am a firm believer that we as a family of believers need to fellowship without regards to our own personal theologies, and conceptual theological debates (which are both wrong anyway) and come back to pursuing a true theology that is from heaven. Because I am about to say something that is literally going to blow your mind… are you ready? Christians and Catholics both love the same Jesus! HUHHHHHHH!!!! *****GASP***** what? Yes, I said Christians and Catholics both love the same Jesus. Yet there is a massive difference in our relationships with God. Most Christians are under the issue of servanthood, which I will get to here in a second, while Catholics are under the issue of demonic servitude. You see servitude is the issue of slavery to the world. And that is where our (our being Christians and Catholics) theologies differ. Now what you have to realize is that I do not in any way agree with Catholocism (nor will I ever) because of this next statement. In Matthew 6: 19-34 God is clear that we should not lay of for ourselves treasures on this earth, and He continues on to say that we should not worry about tomorrow for each day has enough trouble of its own. And Catholics are apart of this. They believe too many things that I dont have time to get into right now, nor do I want to, that are false but they do have a few things that are correct. I just made this point to say that its not just Christians who are under this issue of demonic servitude, where the attitude is that we can provide for ourselves, and live in our fleshly sin because I talked with God once in my life. And therefore my “ticket” and reservation in Heaven is secure. No. Wrong, false, lie from the pit of hell.

And now for the issue of servanthood. I made the statement earlier that “most Christians” are under this idea of servanthood, yet there is a problem with that. The reason there is a problem with that is that I was not able to say all Christians are apart of that. And I’m even going to go as far as this and say that even some of the Christians who are under this “servanthood” are trapped by the lie of religion which therefore rules out their true ability to serve and worship. Beloved we have ALL bought into a lie of religion somewhere in our lives, do not in any way think that I am exempt. Even now within every heart believer or not, we all have uncertainty in the faithfulness of God. Dont believe me? Check this out; what happens when God asks us to step out of our comfort zone and say something to someone we might not normally talk to, or even what happens when God asks us to give just a bit more in the offering and we refuse because we already gave our “10%”. See that is religion. That is living by a “checklist Christianity” that aligns itself with demonic servitude. That is not dying to this world. Before I move on really quick I just want to throw in a little tangent here: IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY GOTTEN DEREK LOUX’S NEW CD Paper Religion I HIGHLY SUGGEST THAT YOU DO! IT’S MASSIVE! Anyway back to the topic at hand. I just want to say this about our God; we were all called to take up the cross in servanthood and follow the Son of Man. And I think people need to realize that Jesus did not come in the flesh just to fulfill a prophesy and ensure that we could spend eternity in Heaven with our Father he came for something more. He came to be a servant. Just look at all that he did. The Son of Man was born in a manger, a dirty wrecked up manger. You would think that the King of Kings and Lord of Lords could have picked a better (perhaps more royal) place to be born. Yet he didn’t. He chose a manger. Then go ahead and look what Jesus did while growing up. He became a carpenter. A job of which was the lowest on the class system at the time. And I could go on and on about how humble and how much humility our God showed just for us. But I just want you to get that Jesus came as a servant, which therefore means we are to be servants who strive to be perfect therefore because our Heavenly Father is perfect. This is just something to think about the next time you have some free time alone with God. Will you be a servant in a world that is trapped in servitude?

I love you guys!
